Unusable from your couchFeb 27, 2008 You can't hold it in your lap. It's got these two clamps that allow you to easily clamp it to a table. The only problem is that everyone I know only has a coffee table, about knee-high, in their living room. This means you'd have to lean over it like an adult crammed into a kids go-kart. Then there's the pedals. Where are you supposed to put the pedals? You can't sit on a couch, pull a coffee table close enough to use a steering wheel clamped to it, and then somehow put your legs out under it. You'd need to add a backwards knee half way down your shin.
The clamps don't come off, and stick out uncomfortably from the bottom. Even if i was willing to dismantle the thing to get them off it's not wide enough to really sit on your lap so you'd have to clamp it between your thighs which would get really uncomfortable really fast. If you try and set it on your legs, instead of between them, there's nothing in the design to hold it steady so it'll just keep shifting around.
When compared to the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel the buttons are cheaper and harder to reach. The construction is cheap... I can't think of a single thing to recommend about this. Get the Microsoft one. It's worth every single penny more, and then some. In my case the Logitech one was only $50 and I still returned it and then spent an extra $50 to get the Microsoft one and couldn't be happier with the upgrade.
Werks perfectJan 28, 2008 Easy to set up. Sturdy and well built, does not feel flimbsy. Easy single button calibration. Force feedback works great. Works perfect with Forza 2.
After using for a couple of months now. only issue I have is that I cant seem to get my headsets to release from the steering wheel port without pliers.......its crazy. The port is set so far in my fingers (I dont have big hands) cant get enough grip to pull them out. They are pretty much permanetly attatched.
Xbox 360 Logitech DriveFXJan 26, 2008 The wheel is ok, it doesn't comeback like a normal steering wheel to the straight position.

Do not order form Tiger Direct.Dec 31, 2007 I ordered the Logitech Drive FX Wheel through Amazon from Tiger Direct on December 13 as a Christmas gift for my two younger sons. I received an email from them on December 19 that they did not have one to send me.
Could they have let me known sooner, like when I placed the order, that they had none available? When I placed the order it said that had 3. So I was shocked when I received their email and was at that time unable to find another one.
Will never order through Tiger Direct again!!!

Great Wheel at a Great PriceJul 17, 2007 I bought this product when it was $58 after MIR and for the price this is a great product. It works very well with Forza Motorsport 2 and I've been able to keep my lap times pretty consistent with the controller. Please note that this wheel is not designed to be used on your lap. You need to clamp this down to a table to really use it. The force feedback or rumble is not as strong as the MS wheel but it is very accurate and provides a realistic feel. The wheel itself is built very solid and so far seems pretty reliable. However, the foot pedals are pretty flimsy and I wouldn't suggest using shoes when using this product as they will probably break the pedals. Overall I'm very happy of this purchase.
