NBA 2k8 is greatMay 10, 2008 well, the game is a very hood game. very detailed plays that you can call out, if you want to have a challenge i suggest you play on hall of fame or against a friend, but i warn you it could turn you into enemies. the dribble moves arent in the manual so you'll have to figure it out yourself.
Very fun game!Apr 27, 2008 Enjoyable since the beginning. Very fun game, great graphics, real gameplay. Everything a good gamer would want in an NBA game!!!

This is a downgrade from last year. Get NBA 2k7 instead!Apr 20, 2008 When I sold NBA 2k7 i thought it was going to be surpassed by NBA 2k8. When I read everyone's opinion I was cautious. I decided I was going to buy it and see another great NBA game from 2k sports. Instead I got some kind of attempt at becoming the next incarnation of EA's NBA Live franchise. I got fed up with the game and just trashed it. When the computer goes on a run it is impossible to even make a wideopen uncontested layup. It was rather pathetic attempt to copy EA and if next year's version ends up like this year, I will stop buying it ever again.
Best Basketball Simulation I have PlayedApr 10, 2008 NBA 2K8 is by far the best basketball simulation I have ever played. The game is very smooth with little "player jitters". It's realistic in the sense that when playing a computer opponent, the computer will actually pass the ball in after a basket to the star of the team in stead of the point guard, such as a Lebron James or Kobe Bryant, who sometimes do carry the ball up the floor instead of the point guard. The game is one of the more challenging games I have played when it comes to competing with a computer opponent. I was forced to put it to the easiest difficulty instead of the default second to easiest because I could not win. However, I liked the challenge and it's a great balanced because all of my games were still close in score. There is plenty to do in the managerial positions too such as fantasy draft, giving players rolls to play.
There is nothing to fear when buying this game, 2K7 was a great game last year and this one even one ups it. I will admit I was cautious when buying the game, but I think its simply because I'm always been an EA sports person. However 2k Games hit this one on the game.
I'd give it a 10 out of 10.
Awesome NBA gameMar 14, 2008 I haven't really played a NBA game on console for a while but NBA2k8 revived my fire again! I'm a HUGE NBA fan and I attend games whenever I can. When i was kid, i used to play a lot of NBA Live because they didn't have 2k back then, and since NBA2k series came out, I've only seen it in my roomate's dorm room when he plays it nightly.
This game is down right FANTASTIC. It gives you total control on both the offensive and defensive ends. The control I'm talkin about is not just a player's control, but includes a whole team's control. I love how you can adjust your lineup substitution, play, and player matchup on the fly. The on-the-ball lockdown defending ability is great when you play online because you can do a better job on defending your opponent and stopping his drive.
The iso-motion is awesome and the player signature moves are very very realistic. The game looks great on Xbox360 and you can have fun both in single player mode and online!
