inventory control, plus weaponsAug 03, 2008 i'm a mature gameplayer who recently bought a dozen videogames and an xbox 360 just to see how the technology has evolved. compared to other games i've tried i found this game to be boring and in parts annoying, and after a few returns have not been able to finish it. for me the core problem is the insane level of depth and arcana you are required to manage -- a cluttered map; a panoply of characters, tribes and evil thingies; a menu for all your clothes and armor, another for your spells, another for your weapons, another for your trinket odds and ends; a self designed avatar; several maps; powers and attributes that come and go -- it's like managing a special needs preschooler. (and this is a *game*?) and then there's the open ended scripting of a plot that is so complicated you need to take notes to keep track of it all. the visual design is ok but i found it insufferable to interact with the character "talking heads", whose mouths are really annoying to look at as they patter the lamest interactive dialog of any game i have tried. and the action elements are uncompelling and don't require much skill to accomplish. the only grace is the landscape rendering, which is fun just to roam through and leads to all kinds of random, sometimes bizarre encounters.
Casey's Dad's ReviewJul 28, 2008 I became interested in this game while watching my son, Casey, play. I began playing myself shorly thereafter. It is a great game and the shipping time from Amazon was very quick.
The game has given both Casey and myself hours of enjoyment.

elder scrollsJul 27, 2008 video games are not for me. for what it is, this game seems good, though.
this game is the best game ever.....Jul 23, 2008 when i buy a game i want a long no boring game this game is it it made me so crasyly hooked to this game i spent over 200hours in this game.
gameplay:fun easy to learn combat can play the game any way stealth magic or combat use swords, bows, axes, hammers, claymores even your hands use magic through your hands or staff's use your stealth skills as you pick locks sneak behind guards steal horse's,rings, weapeons even pickpocet.
graphics:great on alot of area's but some lag and long load times make some parts such as opening doors long but these are little stuff compared to the coolness of oblivion caves are relly good looking i just stare at rocks in caves because they are great.
the story of this game goes far beyond the main story:they are guilds in the game such as fighters guild, mages guild, thives guild, dark botherhood [assassains guild]:and the arena there are some small guilds but they mostly have one quest im the leader of all the main guilds i have all the games gamer score.
overall:this is a great game be anything you want i still love it i quit playing a while back but now in 2008 i started a new game and i feel like i did when i first got this game it is a cool game.
score: ok you know the score even though no game is perfect this game is close i whould rate this game 10/10 100/100 5/5 A+
Oblivon reviewJul 23, 2008 I bought this game about a year ago and I tried to murder someone in the game, then the guards came, it is a very interactive game. If you do a crime the guards give you three options #1, you can go to jail. #2, you can resist arrest. #3, you can pay gold. I usually resist arrest or go to jail, but if you go to jail you actually are in a cell until you either sleep on a bed in prison or pick the lock to escape and probably die, but also if you ask the people about "rumors" they always say something different unless you go back and immediately talk again. I also like how there are sometimes ruins underwater and many towns, cities, camps and even people just wandering around. If you like Morrowind, you will enjoy this game, probably because Bethesda made both of them. But, if you turn into a vampire longer than two or three days and you haven't fed and you talk to someone they will scream and run away. I recommend buying it
